The Seagull
by Anton Chekhov
After watching the movie the realization comes into mind that there are some people would do everything to rich they dream. It doesn't matter how hard and how long it will take to make the dream come true. Like those characters in the stories that go on to their lives just to be famed. Nina made a journey in a different place but she did not succeed Trigorin and Arkadina They didn't become famous. Konstantin I feel bad because he couldn't move to his life , it seems that his really affected by what Nina did to him. He doesn't have a family guiding him and supporting what he wants to do in his life. His mother is very selfish because she would rather pursue her dream than her son. In my reflection to this story I did not see it as comedy, for me it is more on drama how the have to struggle reaching the character's dream. And at the ending of the story none of them become famous, and sad part when Konstantin kill himself. In this story the seagull would be Konstantin during the end because he give the freedom to himself to go knowing that Nina loves someone else. He doesn't want to be a destruction.
I agree that the character of Konstantin was very sad. He put all of his energy in life into things that, in the end, did not work out for him. All of the characters in the play were driven by desires that caused them to lose sight of what really matters in life.
