Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet
Tragedy love romance story is sad because two people fell in love with each other and committed suicide together. There was a situation that both families did not have a good relationship. This relationship ended with a good result between both families had to stop the quarrel because of what happened to Romeo and Juliet.
Too young to die, Romeo and Juliet had a young mindset. Family is supposed to give a support system to each member, where you can have peace of mind of the individual. Parents have to guide Juliet in a better way of life, not to push her to marry someone that she doesn't love and like. At a young age, their mindset is when they fall in love which means they want to marry right and then. They do not realize what kind of life they go through after. Also, their families are fighting. Instead of helping the situation to have a peaceful life for both families, they make it even worse for them. Forcing Juliet to marry someone that she doesn't love is a hard thing to do. Because of her young mind fullness, she tries to escape the situation that she thinks is better. In turn, she is in a situation where the only option that she has is to be with Romeo. Deaths.
Nowadays I don't think young adults are like them in terms of love. Young adult are now more in their career to their future. Love may be when they reach their goal in life. They more on focus their future than anything else. If they fall in love I think they know how to manage it unlike Juliet that no option and ends her life.
I agree. Romeo and Juliet were both experiencing struggles with their families that caused them to rush things and not fully think out their actions. They were young and desperate of release from the control they were under from their families.
ReplyDeleteThere families did fall short of being supportive of any kind of way. Never understood why people would force the grudges they carry onto someone else especially their own children. I'm also glad today arranged marriages is mostly not a thing in the world.
